If you are trying to install windows on your PC and get the following error,
"Windows can not be installed on this disk"
Lots of blogs are recommending to format your drive in GPT scheme. But in this process your precious data will going to be lost.
Well if you don't have to do this process, then there is a easy solution available.
1. Download a tiny software called "RUFUS" from here.
2. Insert your pendrive/ USB drive and start RUFUS
3. By default partition table is selected to GPT, select MBR partition style from drop down menu.
4. After selecting ISO image of Windows OS click on Start button.
5. When the process finished you are good to go.
6. Boot from the USB drive created by Rufus, this time you will not get the error.
RUFUS can create bootable USB drive in MBR and GPT both partition. Most of the HDDs are formatted in MBR partition table and if you have created your USB with GPT scheme then you will get the above error.
