How to change default template or drawing file in Autocad

Hi all,

Today I am going to explain how to change your default drawing file (template) in Autocad.

•  First open default drawing in Autocad by selecting new drawing and made all the changes you want in your daily default drawing. (i.e font style, line types, layers etc.)
• Now save it by option "Save As" and select file name whatever you like, And File type "Autocad Drawing template (dwt)". As displayed in below image, 

          

• Now this will save your new template file to default autocad template folder. 
• Now go to File > Option  as below image,

• Go to Files > Template Settings > Default Template File Name for QNEW
• Click on the small plus sign before default template file neme for qnew. It will be "none" by default. (I've already changed my default template so it shows my path in the image below.

• Select none and click on browse button and select your new template that we have created in first step. 
• And you are good to go. Now everytime when you open new drawing in autocad, it will open your default template only.
